Become a Vendor
We aim to provide an affordable platform for SA’s finest creative entrepreneurs and artisans to showcase and sell their exclusive wares. Our focus is on small businesses and entrepreneurs who do not sell their wares in stores, and on products that are unique, handmade, of good quality, and not readily available in a store. Trueblue Marketplace is a proudly local platform. We do not sell imported items.
To ensure the overall quality of our market experience, all interested vendors must undergo a selection process before being accepted.
The Trueblue Marketplace model
Our model has two legs:
- the online marketplace
- the in-person pop-up markets
You are welcome to register for one, a combination or all of the above.
Our online marketplace is positioned to drive shoppers to the in-person pop-up events, while visitors to the pop-up events will be referred to the online marketplace. Your role in this is vital to ensure that one platform feeds the other.
Pop-Up Markets
Diarise these dates and details for our next events:
- Christmas in the Home – Port Elizabeth 2023: 8 to 10 December 2023, Fairview Centre in Willow Road PE / Gqeberha
Interested in becoming a vendor at one of our in-person pop-up markets? We’d love to hear from you.
Online Marketplace
Trueblue’s online marketplace was developed to give our vendors access to a digital shopfront. As with our in-person pop-up markets, Trueblue’s focus is on creating and marketing the platform and taking care of the admin.
We want to enable you, our vendor, to focus on the creative process and manufacturing your unique wares with the time and love they deserve.
This is how the online marketplace business model works:
- Trueblue manages hosting, marketing, administration, storage, packaging and shipping of the products. Our aim is to make the process of selling goods online hassle-free for our vendors.
- Vendors are responsible for delivery of the agreed product range to Trueblue on consignment basis.
- Trueblue charges a monthly fee for website hosting, marketing, administration, storage, packaging, customer support as well as a % commission of sales to cover bank and e-commerce charges in addition to business continuity.
Interested vendors must submit a completed VENDOR APPLICATION FORM together with images and/or physical samples of the items they intend selling.
You’ll find details about the selection criteria and application process in the INFORMATION DOCUMENT. Click here to download.
